Why isn’t my LeakSmart Hub 3.0 connecting to my Wi-Fi?
If you already know you have a strong Wi-Fi signal and have been through our Hub 3.0 troubleshooting steps, then the problem may be your router. Some routers transmit using two wireless frequencies: 2.4 GHz and 5GHz – and sometimes the router chooses the frequency for you or combines both frequencies into a single network name/SSID. Unfortunately, the LeakSmart Hub 3.0 and many other smart home devices can only connect to a 2.4 GHz frequency, so if the router is automatically choosing 5GHz or has combined the frequencies, then it will not connect. Solving this problem will depend on your router. With some routers like eero, there is a way to pause the 5GHz frequency to allow smart home devices to connect. If you are unsure if you can manually choose or pause a frequency, we recommend consulting your router instruction manual, website or customer service department. For routers that do not have that ability, you will need to contact your Wi-Fi service provider.
